A shared venture between 12 interior design companies, 159Design opened in Auckland’s Grey Lynn in 2021 and in late 2022 it was time to dress up and celebrate the city's newest interior design destination.
The concept of a space where likeminded companies could present a collaborative showroom experience came to fruition organically, and together we’re ensuring our interior design industry continues to grow and enhance the lives of our customers, now and in the future.
A year after opening our doors we took the opportunity to celebrate both our building and our industry with our peers and clients. It was an amazing turn out of past, present, and future clients of 159Design, with old friendships renewed and new ones begun.

The festivities began upstairs in a space inhabited by Kovacs Design Furniture, Montreux Furniture, Belgotex, Haro Flooring, Windsor Hardware, Malcolm Fabrics, The Textile Company, and EJP Commercial. Highlights being the specialty cocktails and aerial performers, Flip and Fly Circus!
After the formalities and a little drama, we moved downstairs to enjoy the oyster bar and acoustic music in the space shared by Porcelanosa, David Shaw Furniture, The Ivy House, and James Dunlop Textiles.
Thank you!
Thank you!
With thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate and to those who couldn’t be with us, we hope to see you next time.
Special thanks to the providers of our wonderful evening:
Good Spirits for the specialty cocktails
Flame Tree for the canapes
Flip & Fly Circus for the acrobatics
Northern Waters for the oyster bar
Edwards for the sound and lighting
And Jasper and Jane for the ambiance!
