A durable fabric, bouclé has traditionally been woven in shades of white or cream, however, our contemporary desire for tactility in all colours has led to an expansion of palettes. Beloved by mid-century enthusiasts for its soft handle and ability to upholster organically shaped furniture, bouclé speaks to the macrotrends of nostalgia and escapism with the unique ability to complement minimalist and maximalist interior schemes.

Woven in Italy, Quadro Boucle is suitable for light duty upholstery and an array of textile accessories. Available in two colourways: Chalk blends golden linen yarns with fresh ivory, whilst Pumice embraces rusted tones, mixing warm calico boucle with aged bronzes.

Grande Bouclé by Catherine Martin by Mokum is a weighty and dimensional bouclé upholstery, influenced by our nostalgia for the 1970s. Woven in Italy in a mix of natural and synthetic fibres, Grande Bouclé has a soft, luxurious handle and tailored finish. The light acyclic backing adds further weight and prevents movement on loose cushions. Grande Bouclé has been coloured in three perfect neutrals and is part of our forthcoming Catherine Martin for Mokum collection, inspired by her current film project.

Tightly woven in a ‘masonry’ brick-like structure, Muratura is a pairing of over-scaled and fine boucle yarns which together create a soft and dimensional small-scale check. Italian for brick work, Muratura is manufactured in Italy in two naturalistic colours: Chalk and Pumice.

Staunch extends the colour palette of James Dunlop’s Atmosphere, from the Fusion collection. This yarn dyed bouclé offers soft tactility and dimension to both lineal and curved furniture frames. Woven in 100% polyester with FibreGuard technology, Staunch achieves local FR ratings and has been carefully coloured to transition across residential and commercial palettes. The colourline pairs sophisticated neutrals with autumnal tones borrowed from nature.

Italian for stone, Pietre is a weighty Italian upholstery woven from thick woollen boucle yarns. Adding incredible surface interest and softness to contemporary furniture frames, Peitre is available in three natural colourways: Calico, Chalk, and Pumice.

Woven in Italy using Solution Dyed bouclé yarns and tumbled to create its soft hand, Elba is a dimensional upholstery which brings Mediterranean glamour to Mokum’s outdoor category. Its optimistic, coastal colour palette speaks to Italian summer vacations with baked terracotta, deep sea blues, emerald greens, and fresh citrus infused shades.

Alpine fuels our tactile love affair, offering an accessible bouclé solution that is trend driven and highly practical. Woven in a blend of synthetic fibre and developed in an extensive palette of comprehensive neutrals and rich decorative shades, Alpine is inspired by the colours of New Zealand. Volcanic neutrals, warms shades of tussock and snow-capped mountains, sun baked clay and burnt orange sit alongside mineral blues and greens referencing New Zealand’s dense forest. Alpine suits both minimalist and maximalist schemes with endless specification opportunities. 

Roccia utilises mixed fibre boucle yarns, which despite being named for its rock-like surface, are luxuriously soft and inviting. Roccia is a lively Italian upholstery textile woven in two warm and comforting neutral tones: Ash and Merino.

Our latest Italian upholstery, Sole Bouclé, extends sumptuous and dimensional bouclé textiles into the exterior space. Woven in 100% Solution Dyed Olefin, Sole Bouclé is a full-bodied plain which replicates the dimension and weight of luxurious indoor wool boucle textiles. Tumbled to create its soft hand and presented in 4 naturalistic colours, Sole Bouclé speaks to its wool-inspired origins and connection to organic outdoor surfaces.

Revered for its texture, trusted for its durability; Entwine has been recoloured to expand on the success of granite with four fresh new neutrals alongside three new decorative tones. Chalk responds to the market's love affair with white bouclé, whilst blush, terracotta and riverstone favour the return of nostalgic browns and complex earthy tones. This dimensional bouclé is woven in a synthetic composition and developed to emulate luxury natural fibre.

Fleece by James Dunlop explores our symbiotic relationship with the land. Inspired by the abundance of sheep roaming our plains, this tactile upholstery replicates New Zealand’s revered woollen fleece in a 100% synthetic composition. Nature has been the great unifier and healer in a period of upheaval, and with its dense curled pile Fleece offers a sense of comfort perfectly suited to curvaceous furniture, allowing one to cocoon within the home.
