Revival: a renewed attention to or interest in something; a new presentation of something old

Revival Collection moodboard
Revival by James Dunlop
“The Revival collection evokes nostalgia; familiar prints feel current through modern colour and styled within a transitional setting. The range is inspired by an aesthetic of enduring beauty that has been appreciated for decades and will continue to be for years to come.” - Annie Moir, James Dunlop Design Director
Celebrating the beauty and sophistication of heritage print design and textile constructions, James Dunlop’s Revival collection is inspired by perennial hand painted wall panels found in iconic European homes.
Reimaging these delicate works as textiles which suit how we live in our modern world is an act of revival which fuses the traditional with the contemporary, refreshing legacy textiles and interior spaces alike.
Thoughtfully developed and custom coloured in the James Dunlop studio, the range captures shades found in nature, with a particular focus on greenery. Known as nature’s neutral, an array of greens infuse the collection and deliver a palette that elicits a quiet sense of optimism and vitality.
Coordinating plain sheers are reconstructed in sustainable compositions that offer a versatile solution for those seeking beautiful, accessible wide width draperies that needn’t compromise on practicality.
Toile De Jouy
Toile De Jouy
Toile de Jouy takes inspiration from traditional toile scenes delivered through a contemporary lens. Reinterpreting this classic print style into an updated composition, modern floral motifs and delicate linework deliver a sense of nostalgia for residential schemes that aim to marry the old with the new. Printed in the UK onto a soft linen base cloth, Toile de Jouy has been custom coloured in the James Dunlop studio in five timeless hues making it a beautiful choice to adorn both modern heritage and traditional homes.

Sakura
Sakura
Hand painted in the UK and printed at one of the oldest printing mills in the world, Sakura is a timeless addition to the James Dunlop print oeuvre. Capturing the elegance of nature, Sakura reimagines a traditional chinoiserie of twisting branches adorned with cherry blossoms and blushing peony motifs, accented by delicately painted birds who gently bring the outside in.
Custom coloured in the James Dunlop studio in three fresh colourways. Parchment offers a refined palette of neutral tones with soft pastel accents, while Duckegg presents a perennial eggshell combination. Orchard pays homage to the signature green favoured by European editor brands, embellished with traditional red and balanced by modern hues of blush, peach, and copper. Digitally printed onto 100% linen with a classic hand feel, Sakura will be perfectly placed within both traditional and transitional settings, infusing interior spaces with a calming sense of nature.
Kumo Recycled
Kumo Recycled
Woven in recycled polyester, Kumo Recycled presents a modern perspective on fibre construction. Existing PET plastic bottles are reconstructed and repurposed into yarn, reinterpreting the past as a more sustainable future. Embracing the imperfect quality of natural materials, Kumo Recycled has a slubby and delicate weave that beautifully emulates the appearance and handle of soft cotton.
For those seeking a high-performance wide width sheer that is fire retardant and has a weighted selvedge, Kumo Recycled is suitable for both residential and commercial applications. Custom coloured within the James Dunlop studio, a palette of 15 decorative shades reference our Australasian flora and fauna to elegantly frame the view within any setting.
