The Alcova edit

Our Design Directors recreate their favourite vignettes using our fabrics

Alcova is a standout group presentation and mainstay of Milan Design Week. Founded by Joseph Grima (Space Caviar) and Valentina Ciuffi (Studio Vedèt), it has previously been held in former bakery and cashmere factories, as well as a military hospital complex. In 2023, the fifth-annual exhibition activated the former central-city abattoir, Porta Vittoria, and featured the work of over 100 creatives across 70 projects.

“Bringing together institutions, new and established brands, a diverse array of design studios, and a cross-section of emerging talents, the exhibition will explore different and complementary directions in contemporary design practice, from research into innovative and sustainable materials to contemporary craft and sensory design.” – Alcova

After visiting the exhibition during their 72-hours in Milan, our Design Directors were inspired to recreate their five favourite vignettes with fabrics from our own range; explore their choices below.

Chartreuse was a reoccurring colour throughout Milan, accompanied here by Mokum favourite - blush pink.
Cool tones of stone and metallic silver accent the inviting bouclé and timber sofa within this unpolished space.
This optimistic presentation of bold colours speaks to our 2023 macrotrend Creative Confidence.
Monochrome geometrics and textured plains are juxtaposed by vibrant cobalt blue and forest green.
A celebration of traditional handwoven plains and geometrics in an earthen palette of cream and terracotta.
