James Dunlop Textiles is not only dedicated to creating luxurious, easy-to-clean fabrics for the home, workplace, and hospitality industry, we’re also committed to creating sustainable designs which adhere to stringent environmental standards.
What is the Organic Content Standard?
Certified organic cotton fibres are produced according to agricultural standards which safeguard the health of soil, ecosystems, and people.
The international Organic Content Standard aims to increase the prevalence of organic agriculture and provide companies with a standard by which the composition of organic products can be easily verified.
Organic Content Standard (OCS)
The organic content of our Eco designs is certified OCS and is therefore verified as containing authentic organic content manufactured within sustainable regulations. There are no artificial chemicals or genetically modified organisms permitted under these organic guidelines, instead natural processes which benefit the environment are utilised.
We are delighted to offer textiles containing OCS certified organic cotton fibres, providing assurance that the fabrics you purchase are sustainable and produced according to strictly monitored standards.
The specific standards we currently adhere to are:
OCS 100: certifies the product is composed of over 95% organic fibres that have been tracked through the production chain and segregated to prevent co-mingling with other fibres.
OCS Blended: are products containing 5 - 95% organic cotton and can encompass blends that contain any fibre, including conventional cotton.
